Viola Jeanne (Kessler) Frank

Viola Jeanne Frank, age 72, of 88 Grand Blvd. Ext., Shelby, died Sunday January 9, 2000 at the Crestwood Care Center after a long illness.

She was born September 8, 1927 in Crawford County, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Leonhardt) Kessler. She was a 1945 graduate of Plymouth High School and retired from Shelby Metal Products Co. Viola was a Red Cross volunteer at Med Cental Shelby Hospital for over 28 years and was a member of the Sunshine Club. She attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby. Viola’s great faith in God and her cheerful attitude and smile, no matter her circumstances, blessed all who knew her. No one can replace her and she will surely be missed.

She is survived by 2 step-daughters and spouse: Janet and Tom Clabaugh of Shelby and Judy Wichterman of Crestlilne; 1 stepson, Keith Frank of Kansas; 9 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law: Robert Kessler of Plymouth; Merton and Fay Kessler of Plymouth; Velma Kessler of New London, Wanda Kessler-Quinn of Arizona; a brother-in-law, Wilbur Hass of Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Frank in 1993; 4 brothers: Arthur, Marvin, Cloyd and Ray Kessler; 2 sisters: Lucille Kessler and Inez Hass.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 12, 2000 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on at 11:00 AM by Rev. James Humphrey. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial expressions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
