Vilora “Vila” (Thornsberry) Keller

Vilora “Vila” Keller, age 85, formerly of 51 Shelby Ave. died Monday morning in the Heritage Care Center after an extended illness. She was born August 31, 1903 in Raven, Kentucky, the daughter of Winston and Mary (Slone) Thornsberry.

Mrs. Keller is survived by 2 daughters: Mrs. John (Louise) Weatherstone of Merritt Island, FL, and Mrs. Leonard (Billie Jean) Slone of Shelby; 1 son: Harry Keller of Pembroke Pines, FL; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Cartt and by her second husband William Keller in 1974.

Mrs. Keller was a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. James Baker officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours will be this evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
