Verda Glorine (Rogers) Boreman

Verda G. Boreman, age 84, of 128 North Brookwood Way, Mansfield, died Tuesday morning in Mansfield General Hospital after a short illness.

She was born June 6, 1905, in Rochester Township, Lorain County, Ohio, the daughter of Leon and Rosa (Long) Rogers. Mrs. Boreman was a homemaker. She had lived in Shelby for 50 years before moving to Mansfield in 1972.

Mrs. Boreman is survived by 1 son, William “Ray” Boreman, Jr., of Shelby and 1 daughter, Mrs. Paul (Doris) Beck of Crestline; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Donna Zellner of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her husband William “Ray” Boreman, Sr. in 1970 and by 1 brother and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby with the Rev. Howard Rand, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Horne.
