Una May (Anacker) Ruhl
Una May Ruhl, age 80, of 33 Myers Meadow, and formerly of Glen Burnie, Maryland, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening in Shelby Memorial Hospital. She was born May 8, 1910 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of William and Lillian (Barnes) Anacker.
Mrs. Ruhl was a former secretary at Strongwear Clothing Company in Baltimore and taught piano lessons for many years. She was a former member of the Business and Professional Womens Association of Baltimore and the National Secretary Association in Baltimore. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby and Circle 14 at the Church. She had been very active with the United Methodist Women at the Community Methodist Church in Riviera Beach, Maryland.
Mrs. Ruhl is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Luverne and Rev. Lyle Hinkle of Shelby, and a son and daughter-in-law: David and Betty Ruhl of Cody, Wyoming; 6 grandchildren and
6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Doris Baarda of California; 2 brothers: William Anacker of Maryland Line, Maryland, and Carlisle Anacker of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Vernon Ruhl, in 1987; and by 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00P.M. at the First United Methodist Church with her son-in-law, Rev. Lyle Hinkle, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maryland. Calling hours will be on Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home which is in charge of the arrangements.
