Theodore W. “Ted” Bricker
Theodore W. “Ted” Bricker, age 58, of 6702 Red Sunset Place, Columbus, Ohio 43213, died Monday morning, September 20, 1999 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a long illness.
Ted retired on disability in 1989 from Art Iron Industries in Columbus after 17 years of service and prior to that he had worked at Virginia Homes. He was a 1959 graduate of Shelby High School and a 1963 graduate of Bliss College. Ted was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna, Potter Lodge #540 F and AM in Canal Winchester, Minerva Chapter #101 Order of Eastern Star in Gahanna, and F.O.E Aerie #763 in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Van Gogh) Bricker, whom he wed on April 26, 1966; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Loren Hoch of Ashville, OH; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher and Sherri Bricker of Westerville, OH and Donald Bricker of Arizona; 4 grandchildren: Nicholas Hoch, Jessica Gibbons, Ashleigh Bricker, and Jessica Bricker; his mother, Rachel M. Bricker of Shelby and a brother and sister-in-law, James A. and Sandra Bricker of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur W. Bricker in 1985.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio, conducted by Rev. Loren E. Hoch, retired pastor of Zion Lutheran
Chruch in Huron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
