Teddie McClain, age 59, of West Main Street, Shelby, died unexpectedly, Sunday September 2, 2007 at his home.
Ted was born December 28, 1947 in Braeholm, West Virginia the son of the late Ersel and Opal (Crum) McClain. He retired from the maintenance department of Central Ohio Industrial Park after 34 years of service. Ted was a kind and generous person that loved his brother and sisters dearly. He will be deeply missed by them.
Ted is survived by 4 sisters and brothers-in-law: Janice and Lovell Elkins of Shelby, Donna and Don Adkins of Sias, West Virginia, Loretta Grass of Clearwater, Florida, Louise and Lionel Ellis of Valdosta, Georgia and Vernon Franklin of Amherstdale, West Virginia; a brother and his wife, Bob and Vella McClain of Shelby; his step mother, Lillian McClain of Ottawa, West Virginia; many nieces and nephews; his best friend, Jack Browning of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters, Icelean Franklin and Maxine Nelson.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Robert Becker, Pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
