Sylvester Frederick Schell

Sylvester Frederick Schell, 64, of 3584 Ohio 39 South, died Sunday afternoon in Holy Family Home in Parma.

He was born Sept. 20, 1927, in New Washington, the son of Frederick L. and Lennora C. (Donnersbach) Schell. He retired in February 1990 from the maintenance department at Ohio Brass Co. in Mansfield after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby.

Survivors include two sisters: Florence M. Schell and Mary C. Stockmaster, both of Shelby; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Lawrence and Charles Schell.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, where Christian wake services will be held at 8:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church by the Rev. John C. Missler. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Home or to the church and left in care of the funeral home.
