Shannon Elise Vanderpool
Shannon Elise Vanderpool, age 31, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 3, 2010.
She was born July 22, 1979 in Shelby. She was a 1997 graduate of Shelby Senior High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School. Shannon was an avid collector of old books and postcards. Shannon had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her children: Kyle Rowlinson and Karissa Rowlinson; her parents: Janice Alt Vanderpool of Shelby and Dan Vanderpool and his fiancé, Lesa Bridges of Bowling Green, KY; 2 brothers: Colin Vanderpool of Ashland and Scott (Rhonda) Vanderpool of Mansfield; a sister: Melissa (Russ) Stroup of Shelby; her grandparents: Harold and Phyllis Alt of Shelby; Aunts and Uncles: Keith (Nancy) Alt, Brian (Karen) Alt, Angie (Gary) Vogt all of Shelby, Brenda Williams and Jim Brush of Columbus, Chris Alt and Tim Markel of Ashland, Thurman (Jean) Vanderpool of Willard, Ron Vanderpool of KY, Henrietta (Henry) Wright and Jimmy Vanderpool all of Plymouth, Lucretta (Larry) Akers of New Haven, Edna (Bob) Alfrey of Shelby; her special friend: Ross Sackman of Mansfield; her nieces and nephews: Whitney Vanderpool, Leah Vanderpool, Layne Vanderpool, J.D. Vanderpool, Brett Vanderpool, Brooke Vanderpool, and Tyler Rank; her special dog: Cimba; numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert and Nora Vanderpool and an uncle: Jerry Vanderpool.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10 AM by Deacon Steven Keller of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. I will miss Shannon dearly, I love her like a sister. We have spent a lot of time together in the past year and half. She has made my life better just knowing her. She made me laugh so much, she did a silly dance one night when her, me and cheri went to county bar, I don’t think I laughed that hard in a long time. Now when I’m sad and missing her, I visualize that dance and I just smile and chuckle. Shannon gave me and probably everyone she came across a lot of nice memories that we will always have.
