Ruth (Robinson) Lantz
Ruth E. Lantz, age 92, of Taylortown Road, Mansfield, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.
She was born August 20, 1916 in Mansfield the daughter of the late William and Edna (Boals) Robinson and had lived in this area all her life. Mrs. Lantz was a 1935 graduate of Shelby High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Clay Memorial Lutheran Church, the Missionary Society at church, and the Home Economist Club through the Richland County Extension Service. Her hobbies included sewing and knitting.
Mrs. Lantz is survived by her husband of 71 years, Paul S. Lantz, whom she wed on March 27, 1937; 3 sons and their wives, Charles Richard and Nancy Lantz of Wooster, Paul William and Ruth Lantz of Columbus, Michael Don and Barbara Lantz of Mansfield; 4 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandsons; 2 step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 2-3 PM at the Clay Memorial Lutheran Church, 1061 Amoy East Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44903. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM at the church with Minister Carol Kilgore officiating. Memorial expressions may be made to the church. Paul and family, I am one of Cliff & Gladys Parsons daughters. Ruth was a lovely, kind woman, that I enjoyed talking with at the Lantz reunions. I would see her often at Crestwood. She would remember mom and all the fun that was had at the reunions.
