Ruth L. (Fearn) McNeill

Ruth L. (Fearn) McNeill, age 93, of 10 East Gaylord Avenue, Shelby, died Monday in the Mifflin Care Center in Mansfield. She was born January 2, 1902 in Canton, Ohio the daughter of Arthur A. and Emma (Aldenger) Fearn.
Mrs. McNeill was a homemaker. Prior to her marriage she had been employed at the Hoover Company in East Canton in the accounting office.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Shelby, and Circle #3 at the church, Rizpah Chapter #153 Order of the Eastern Star in Shelby, Shelby American Legion Auxiliary, Delphian Society, and a charter member of First Patron Mothers Club. She was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School.
She is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Neil E. and Charlene McNeill of Marietta, Ohio; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Anne E. and Rodney Brower of Cambridge City, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, Linda Brown, Steven McNeill , Craig McNeill, Laurie Brattain, Bill Brower and Cheryl Jacques; 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Evan W. McNeill in 1977, and a grandson, David Brower.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Shelby with Rev. Deb Beaver, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the Riley Children’s Hospital memorial Fund for David Brower in Indianapolis, and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
