Russell R. Dininger

Russell R. Dininger, age 82, of 10 Bradley Road, Shelby, died Sunday morning, March 17, 2002 at Med Central Mansfield Hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Dininger was born March 24, 1919 in New Haven, Ohio the son of the late Percey and Grace (Gilger) Dininger.

He retired from Mansfield Tire and Rubber after 35 years of service. For 10 years he had worked for the Shelby Parks system. Mr. Dininger was a member of Clay Memorial Lutheran Church, Shelby Owls Club, Shelby F.O.E. Aerie #763, Mansfield Amvets, Shelby VFW George Broderick Post #291, Shelby American Legion O’Brien Post #326, Shelby Moose Lodge–where he was the past governor for 7 years–and the Twenty Five Year Club at Mansfield Tire.

He married Glada (Lybarger) Dininger on August 23, 1940 and she survives, along with a daughter and son-in-law: Bev and Denny Lukity of Ashland; 2 grandchilden: Tina Lukity and Greg Lukity both of Ashland; a great-grandaughter, Atlantis Marker of Ashland; a brother Roger Dininger of Wooster; 2 sisters: Maxine Willett of Plymouth and Carol Wagner of Nashville, OH. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Milo, Richard, Wayne, Dale and Roy Dininger and a sister, Avis Robertson.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from noon until 1 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West
Main Street in Shelby, where funeral services will be held at 1 PM with Rev. Norm Johnson, pastor of Grace Brethern Church in Ashland officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with military honors conducted by the Shelby American Legion. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
