Russell J. Moser

Russell J. Moser, age 90, formerly of 181 Trux Street, Plymouth, died Saturday morning, April 26, 1997, in the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness. He was born December 26, 1906 in Shiloh the son of Martin and Leona (Hunter) Moser.

Mr. Moser was a former employee of Ohio Bell Company and Gustav-Hirsch Company in Columbus. He retired as Superintendent of the Utilities department for the village of Plymouth.

He was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church and a life long member of I.B.E.W. Local #688 in Mansfield. He was a 1924 graduate of Shiloh High School.

Mr. Moser is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel and Shirley Moser of Marietta, Georgia and Roger and Patricia Moser of Jasper Alabama; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Lois Moser of Mansfield and Miriam Moser of Shelby.

Mr. Moser was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia (Coleman) Moser on December 10, 1992; by a daughter, Geraldine Strong in 1985; and by 3 brothers Stanley Moser, Vernon Moser and Robert Moser and by a sister, Thelma.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with his pastor Rev. Linda Heinlen, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
