Ruby Clara Trine
Ruby Clara Trine, age 72, of 4229 Stein Road, Shelby, Ohio died Monday, April 5, 2004 at her home after a short illness.
She was born February 8, 1932 in Plymouth, Ohio and was a graduate of Plymouth High School. Ruby was a former employee of Pioneer Rubber Company in Willard and was active in fundraising for many Shelby area charities. After the death of her husband, she was a caregiver to the elderly. Ruby’s hobbies included gardening, crotcheting, puzzles, reading, old movies, and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and spouse, Lewis and Kaye Trine of Plymouth, OH; 2 daughters and spouses, Sheryl and Dennis Hall of Marshall, MI, Heather and Mardy Wright of Shelby, OH; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; her mother, Lucy Cole of Marshall, MI; a brother and spouse, Russell and Joann Cole of Battle Creek, MI; 4 sisters and spouses, Ruth and Homer Williams of Los Angeles, CA, Audrey and Newt Ketchum of Homer, MI, Thelma and Mort Maulding of Battle Creek, MI and Sharon Adams of Jackson, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert N. Trine on December 11, 1992, her father, Dayton Cole, 2 brothers, Raymond and Richard Cole and a sister, Victoria Cole.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby and also on Friday, April 9, 2004 from 11 AM-1 PM at the Kempf Funeral Home, 103 E. Mansion, Marshall, MI, where funeral services will be held at 1 PM with Stanley Ward Day from the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek, MI.
