Ross B. Fackler, Sr.
Ross B. Fackler, Sr. , age 71, of London West Road, Shelby, died Sunday afternoon in Mansfield General Hospital after a short illness. He was born January 23, 1918 in Shelby the son of Porter and Anna (McLaughlin) Fackler.
Mr. Fackler was a dairy farmer all of his life. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby and the Richland County Fair Board for 30 years. He bowled on the Wednesday night mixed league.
Mr. Fackler is survived by 1 son: Ross B. Fackler, Jr., of Shelby; 3 daughters: Mrs. Franklin (Shirley Ann) Miller, Mrs. Charles (Lucinda) Johnson and Mrs. Larry (Janet) West all of Shelby; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Hildred McMahon of Shelby; and a Great Aunt, Ozra Price of Shelby.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marabelle E. (Baker) Fackler in 1980.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl L. Johnson, his pastor, and the Rev. Floyd Whitesel, Pastor of the First Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or the Richland County Fair Board and left at the funeral home.
