The world has lost one of the finest men ever put on this Earth.
Uncle Rollie was the sweetest, kindest, most gentle man I have ever known. He touched many lives by his gentle spirit and caring ways.He always had a smile on his face nad I never heard him utter an unkind word about anybody or anything in his life.He had a gift for always knowing how to cheer you up or make you laugh or smile.
His “Would you look at that”and “Get the kids up!”never failed to bring a smile to your face.He will be missed by all who knew and loved him and let me say,ALL that knew him loved him.
Children always loved him,he knew just what to say or do to put them at ease and make them giggle.
Peace be with you Uncle Rollie,I love you.

Condolence:
Please accept my deep condolences for the loss of Uncle Rollie. I was hoping to see him soon, and I will always remember
his smile and good humor under everything that life could throw
at us. The welcome joshing he extended to all of us will be much
missed, but always remembered. The example which he lived sets a
high standard for all of us in turning poverty, disappointment,
pain, and grief into useful work and a good, happy life.
I passed by my car this morning on the way to the mailbox, and
noticed that the hood had been severely dive-bombed by a vengeful
and well-fed songbird. I did something I seldom do, and picked
up the hose, and as I was scrubbing the hood I heard Uncle
Rollin’s punch line in my head “…but they SING for SOME
people…” and I realized that he had once more had the last
word, and how it brightened my day. Love and best wishes to
everyone- Cousin Bruce
P.S.: I know Uncle Rollie mentioned many times how good it would
be if we could keep getting together as extended family. I have
more time now, so please let me know what your thoughts are as
to how we best might do this.

Amy and Family: We were so sorry to hear about Rollie’s passing. Although we never met him personally, we felt like we knew him because of all of the wonderful stories you’ve shared with us about him over the years. And we also know that he had to be a wonderful man to have raised such a wonderful daughter, who in turn raised two caring ones of her own. How lucky you were to have him all of these years! We hope it’s not too long before the tears you shed today turn into smiles as you remember him the way he would want you to. All the best to you all……Todd & Carol

Dear John & Sue and Family:
I was out of town last week and didn’t know about your dad’s death until I read it in last Friday’s News-Herald. Your dad was a sincerely nice man who left a legacy in leaving two nice “kids” to carry on. Our memories live on through us and our children and grandchildren. Life comes full circle and he lived his life to the fullest.
Love,
Joan

Condolence:
Rollin was a fun spirit to be around. He always had a good joke and story to tell when visiting us in Newark. I never knew my grandfather John Healy but I am named after him, so it was a pleasure to learn of him through Rollin. My grandfather and Rollin had good times together and fun train adventures to Cincinnati among other one day journeys. My Dad, Mom, and I will always treasure his spirit and who Rollin was.
