Roger Allen Burton

Roger Allen Burton, age 57, of West Main Street, Shiloh, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

Born August 8, 1948, in Shirley, IN, he was the son of the late Norman Lee Burton, Sr. and Grace Roseanna Dudley Burton.

Mr. Burton was a foundry worker at Mansfield Brass and Aluminum in New Washington for thirty years. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Roger is survived by his wife, Sherry Roark Burton, whom he wed March 28, 1992; three sons: Charles Allen Burton of Willard, James Estel and Angie Burton of Shelby, and Paul Edward and Shelia Taylor of Morehead, KY; one stepson: Troy Shepherd of Shiloh, and one stepdaughter: Trish Shepherd of Plymouth; five brothers: Ricky Dean Burton of Olive Hill, KY, Joseph Dale Burton of Galion, Owen Douglas Burton of Morehead, KY, Larry Walter Burton of Morehead, KY, Norman Lee Burton, Jr. and wife Ruthie of Plymouth; three sisters: Ina Kay Russell and husband Chuck of Shelby, Connie Carol Burton of Morehead, KY, and Karen Rosita White and husband Charles Ray of Olive Hill, KY; and five grandchildren: Brandon James Burton, Brett Allen Burton, Miranda Sue Burton, Cody Taylor and Brianna Taylor.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four children: Lisa Lynn, Darrell W., and twins Roger and Arthur Burton.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2006, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gayle Price officlating. Burial will follow in the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County, KY. Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie, Tommy, Wendell, Mark, Carlos, and David Burton. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, KY. The Turner Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements
