Robert W. Williston

Robert W. Williston, age 75, of 5577 State Route 96 West, Shelby, died Wednesday morning in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland after an extended illness. He was born November 14, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Robert W. and Cyrena S. (Plough) Williston, Sr.

Mr. Williston was a retired employee of Carton Service in Shelby. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby. He was an Air Force and Army Veteran of WWII.

Mr. Williston is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. (Hartz) Williston, whom he married on June 30, 1952; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, John Dennis Williston of Shelby and Robert W. and Vicki Williston, III of Tiro; 8 grandchildren including Heather Stevens of shelby and Doreen Kay Roose of St. Petersburg, Florida whom they raised; 7 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; 1 brother, Lester Graydon Williston of Plymouth; 1 sister, Geneieve W. Filsinger of Greenwich. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church in Shelby with pastor June Fryman, officiating. Burial will be in Little London Cemetery in Shelby with full military graveside services conducted by the Shelby American Legion.
