Robert Lynn Fireoved

Robert Lynn Fireoved, age 85, of 69 Roberts Drive, Shelby, died Monday, January 15, 2007 at his home after a period of declining health.
Bob was born October 7, 1921 in Shelby the son of the late Landis and Marie Fireoved. He was a 1939 graduate of Shelby High School and a 1944 graduate of The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Business. While at Ohio State, he was president of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was a Navy veteran of WWII where he achieved the rank of lieutenant. Bob was a salesman for the Girard Business Forms in Philadelphia, PA and retired after 41 years of service. He was a member of Shelby American Legion O’Brien Post #326, where he was a past commander, and the Richland County Fair Board, where he was the past president.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Molly Fireoved, whom he wed on December 7, 1949; a daughter, Joy Fireoved Rees of Orlando, Florida; 2 sons, Robert Bloksburg Fireoved of Maryland and James Scott and Nora Fireoved of Virginia; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lou Ellen and Darwin Sampsel of Shelby and Marilyn Grauer of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Fireoved and a brother-in-law, Fred Grauer.
Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Rev. Steven C. Bond, Pastor of First Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Shelby American Legion. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
