Robert L. Sipe
Funeral services for Robert L. Sipe, 66, of 40 Park Villlage, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Clayton E. Turner, pastor of Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon, and the Rev. James L. Smith, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Shelby.
Burial wil be in Oakland Cemetery, with military graveside services by the Shelby American Legion. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Crestline, in care of the funeral home.
Mr. Sipe died Tuesday evening in Riverside Hospital, Columbus, after a short illness.
He was born May 4, 1921, in Crestline. A 1940 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, Mr. Sipe was employed at White-Westinghouse for 39 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member and elder of First Presybterian Church, Crestline. He was also a member of the Shelby American Association of Retired Persons, Westinghouse Retirees Club, Mansfield, Retmen’s Club, Mansfield and the Park Village Garden Club. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany in World War II,
He is survived by his father, Dexter W. Sipe of Shelby, and one brother, Harold, of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle S. Ritchie Sipe, in 1976.
