Robert Henry Heuberger

Robert Henry Heuberger, age 80, of Mansfield, and formerly of Shelby, died Tuesday evening, December 29, 1998 in Med Central Mansfield Hospital.

Mr. Heuberger was born May 21, 1918 in Shelby, the son of Emmit and Alma (Ridge) Heuberger. He was a retired employee of Quanex Corp. in Shelby and prior to that he had worked at the Ohio Steel Tube Company. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was the recipient of five bronze stars.

Mr. Heuberger is survived by his wife, Cora Lee (Porter) Heuberger whom he married on
August 6, 1960; 4 sons and 2 daughters-in-law: Robert Oakley Heuberger of Austintown, Ohio; Douglas Paul Heuberger of Carrolton, Texas; Kim L. and June Heuberger of Shelby; and Arthur Dean and Leanne Heuberger formerly of Shelby. 6 grandchildren. 2 great grandchildren. 1 brother, Ronald Heuberger of Warner Robbins, Georgia; and 1 sister, Gladys Hoover of Ontario, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Essie (Couch) Heuberger in 1956 and 2 grandchildren.

Mr. Heuberger requested that his body be donated to the Ohio State University Medical School. Memorial services will be on Monday, January 4, 1999, at 6:00 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby with Rev. June Fryman, associate pastor of First Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby at a later date. Memorial expressions may be made to the Shelby Museum of History.
