Robert H. Conley
Robert H. Conley, age 78, of 209 Joelynn Drive, Shelby, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at his home after a long illness with bone cancer.
Bob was born February 4, 1927 in Van Wert, Ohio the son of the late Roscoe and Elva (Taylor) Wolford. He was a divisional sales manager for Duff Truck Line, Inc. opening many terminals including Mansfield. Bob retired from Duff Truck Line after 30 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby and Delta Nu Alpha, a professional transportation organization. Bob was honored as Kentucky Colonial. He was a former member of the Shelby Country Club. He enjoyed golfing and wood working.
He is survived by a son, Robert G. Conley and his wife, Rosanne of Crestline; daughters, Cheryl Conley Wilcox and her husband John of Owosso, Michigan, and Pam Conley McCollister and her husband Jim of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, Phil Wolford of West Pueblo, Colorado, Duane Wolford, Roger Wolford, Richard Wolford all of Van Wert, Ohio, Fred Wolford of Lima; 2 sisters-in-law, Eloine Badger and Joyce Wolford of Van Wert, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Ike Corman of Alverton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Elizabeth (Eicher) Conley in 2001, a son Bryan Conley, a daughter, Rebecca Conley, a brother, Leroy Wolford, and 2 sisters, Mary Ellen Corman and Rebecca Wolford.
Friends may call of Saturday, July 9, 2005 from 10-11 AM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM with Rev. David Carter officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to Med Central Hospice or American Cancer Society.
