Robert “Bob” McPherson Stadler

Robert McPherson Stadler, age 63, of 63 Marvin Avenue, died early Sunday morning in Mansfield General Hospital after a short illness. He was born August 19, 1925 in Fremont, Ohio.

Mr. Stadler was an independent insurance agent for 36 years and was owner/operator of State Agency Inc. He was a 1951 graduate of The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

He was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church where he was an usher and a member of the finance committee. He was a member of Shelby K of C Council #1968, Mansfield Fourth Degree Father Clement Falter General Assembly, Shelby Elks Lodge, where he had been Past Exulted Ruler, Shelby Toastmaster Club, and Shelby American Legion O’Brien Post #326. He was an army veteran of WWII.

Mr. Stadler is survived by his wife, Eileen (Metzger) Stadler, whom he married on April 4, 1959; 4 sons: Robert James Stadler of Atlanta, GA, Stephen Carlisle Stadler of Columbus, Timothy George Stadler and Thomas Gregory Stadler both of Cincinnati; his mother, Eugenia Stadler of Columbus; 2 brothers: David Stadler of Columbus and Harry Stadler of Wheeling, WV.

He was preceded in death by his father Carlisle W. Stadler.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with Father John C. Missler, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. Elk services will be held at 6:45P.M Tuesday evening and a Christian Wake Service will be
held at 8:30 P.M. Both will be held a the funeral home.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Most Pure Heart Of Mary Parish in care of the funeral home.
