Robert Benjamin “Ben” Seton
Robert Benjamin Seton, age 75, of 26 Bradley Avenue in Shelby died Wednesday morning at his home after an extended illness.
He was born June 29, 1917 in Shelby, the son of Christall Dougal and Sara (Moore) Seton. Mr. Seton retired in 1977 from the Shelby Mutual Insurance Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Calvary United Church of Christ in Crestline. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was an avid golfer.
Mr. Seton is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law:Karen and Michael Conrad of Rochester Hills, Michigan and Dorothy and Jerry Hill of Johnstown, Ohio; 1 grandson: Dennis Conrad of Clarkston, Michigan; 1 sister: Dorothy James of Shelby; and 1 brother: James C. Seton of Lebanon, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Mae (Minich) Seton in 1984, and by a brother, Charles (Bill) Seton in 1974.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. John J. Bradley,
Pastor of the First United Church Of Christ in Shelby officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
