Richard Earl Gorsuch

Richard Earl Gorsuch, 76, of 12 Glenwood Drive died Thesday, July 24, 2001, in Crestwood Care Center from complications after a long illness.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1925 in Wyandot County, the son of Nelson and Dessie (Bartlett) Gorsuch. Mr. Gorsuch was a 1943 graduate of Mt. Blanchard High School. He retired from Copperweld Shelby Division in 1990. Prior to that he and his wife owned Arnold’s Flowers in Shelby. He was a WWII Navy Seabees veteran, serving in the 107th Battalion. He was a member of American Legion O’Brien Post #326 and First United Methodist Church in Shelby.
Surviving are his wife, Esta Noreen (Stevenson) Gorsuch, whom he married on Oct. 9, 1946; two sons: David Lee Gorsuch of Janesville, WI and Richard Earl Gorsuch, Jr. of Ft. Collins, CO; two daughters and a son-in-law: Vicki and William Redman of Mansfield and Lori Gorsuch of Ft. Collins, CO; five grandchildren and spouses: Michael and Dawn Redman, Scott Redman, Jennifer Gorsuch, Ada Gorsuch, and Ryan and Nicci Gorsuch; three great-grandchildren: Alysa
Gorsuch, Taylor Redman, and Carter Redman; a half-brother and his wife, Billy
and Barbara Gorsuch of Sebring, FL; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother Cletis Gorsuch; two brothers, George and Ellsworth Gorsuch; and two sisters, Mary Stephan and Martha Bosak.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, 168 W. Main St., Shelby where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Carl G. Beighley. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park with military honors. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or the church.
