Reginald E. Knapp

Reginald E. Knapp, age 91, of 34 West Gaylord Avenue, died Tuesday afternoon at his home after a short illness. He was born July 12, 1903 in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania the son of Herbert H. and Eva (Robb) Knapp.
Mr. Knapp retired on July 12, 1968 from A.M.F. Pin Spotter Division. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Knights Of Pythias. He was a graduate of Shelby High School and attended Ohio Weslyan University.
Mr. Knapp was instrumental in the development of Seltzer Park in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary M. (Cox) Knapp; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Jim Henry of Shelby; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Joseph E. and Marilyn Knapp of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Irene Joyce of Kent, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother Harry Knapp and by 1 sister Evelyn McClain.
Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby with his pastor Rev. Jeff Matthews, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
Memorial expressions may be made to the Shelby Park Board and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home , 168 West Main Street, Shelby.
