Randall Gearheart
Randall Gearheart, age 66, of 3231 Myers Road, Shelby, died Sunday, April 28, 2002 at Med Central Shelby Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Gearheart was born November 24, 1935 in Hueysville, Kentucky. He retired from Tech Form Industries in Shelby and had also been employed at Midwest Industries in Willard. He was a member of the Tiro United Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army. He loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae (Patton) Gearheart, whom he married on May 10, 1966; 2 sons: Randall Darrell Gearheart and his fiancé Kristin Brediger of Shelby; and Kelvin and Amy (Van Vlerah) Gearheart of Plain City, OH; 1 grandson, Alec Gearheart of Plain
City, OH; His mother, Dovie (Handshoe) Gearheart of Hueysville, KY; 3 brothers: Douglas of Willard; Quentin of Martin, KY; and Glen of Shelby; 2 sisters: Wanda Jones and Deborah Howell, both of Hueysville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Gearheart and a sister Geneva Baldridge.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 from 2-4 and 6- 8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mack Dickison and Rev. Lowell Gayheart officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with military honors by the Shelby American Legion. Memorials may be made to the Tiro United Baptist Church.
