Ralph George Bell
Ralph George Bell, 76, of Shelby, RD 4, died Thursday at Shelby Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1908, in Greenwich. Mr. Bell retired in 1967 from the Shelby Municipal Light Plant. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Shelby. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion O’Brien Post 326.
On July 9, 1928, he married Myrtle Bonecutter, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Clyde, of Shelby; three daughters: Mrs. Glenn (Bonnie) Swanger, Mrs. Virgil (Patricia) Kuhn and Mrs. Carol Sutter, all of Shelby; a sister, Mrs. William (Pauline) Clark of Shelby; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Cemetery, Shelby, by his pastor, Rev. James Gardner. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
