Ralph C. Heydinger

Ralph C. Heydinger, age 91, of 35 Pinewood Drive, Shelby and formerly of 27 Jeffrey Avenue, Shelby, died Friday afternoon, January 9, 1998, in the emergency room at Med Central-Shelby Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1906 in New Washington, Ohio the son of Bernard R. and Ludwina (Burger) Heydinger. Mr. Heydinger retired in 1971 from Copperweld-Shelby Division and had also worked at Westinghouse in Mansfield for 10 years. He was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church and the Crawford County Conservation League in Bucyrus.
He is survived by his wife, Rosella A. (Missler) Heydinger, whom he married on May 24, 1941; 2 sons, Dennis Heydinger of Lackawanna, New York and Clayton Heydinger of Shelby; 1 daughter, Kathleen Gates of Monroeville, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Sally Griffin, Scott Heydinger, and Joe Gates; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ida Fry of Bucyrus and Sister Mary Bernard OSF of Toledo. He was preceded in death by his parents and by 1 brother, Leo Heydinger.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where a Christian Wake service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with Father John C. Missler, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial expressions may be made a charity of the donors choice.
