Rachel M. (Anderson) Bricker

Rachel M. Bricker, age 90, formerly of 34 Woodland Road, Shelby, died early Thursday, March 22, 2001, at the Heritage Care Center after a short illness.

She was born January 20, 1911, in Shelby, the daughter of Charles J. and Lela (Teeter) Anderson. Mrs. Bricker was a 1932 graduate of St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby.

She is survived by a son and 2 daughters-in-law, James A. and Sandy Bricker of Shelby; Sharon Bricker of Columbus; 3 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Bricker in 1985, a sister, Mary A. Depler in 1991 and a son Theodore W. Bricker in 1999.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, March 24, 2001 from noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 with Rev. Jeff Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to Shelby Home and Public Health.
