Phyllis Marian (Conrad) Laska

Phyllis Marian Laska, age 71, formerly of 23 Lee Street, died Sunday evening in the Crestwood Care Center. She was born August 11, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Mahaffey) Conrad.

Mrs. Laska was a saleswoman and homemaker. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Mansfield and was the co-founder of the Shelby AARP.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Laska of the Crestwood Care Center, a sister Iris Fisher of Newbury, Ohio; and a brother Fred Conrad of Columbia Station, Ohio.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Little London Cemetery east of Shelby by her pastor the Rev. Paul Brandes. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Lutheran Hour and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home which is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
