Phyllis I. (Vnasdale) Baker

Service for Phyllis I. Baker, 70, of 4126 Plymouth Springmill Road will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Turner Funeral Home, Shelby, by her pastor, the Rev. Thomas E. Eisenman.
Burial will be in Ganges Cemetery. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Baker died early Thursday in Shelby Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Shelby. She was a homemaker and served as an elections worker in Jackson Township for many years. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Ganges Community United Church of Christ.

Surviving are her husband, Robert L., whom she married July 3, 1936; five daughters: Mrs. Joel (Sue) Beer, Mrs. David (Sally) Studer, Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Cox, all of Shelby, Mrs. Larry (Kay) Danals of Ontario and Kathy Baker at home; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Donald Vnasdale of Florida and Melvin Vnasdale of Mansfield; and one sister: Pearl Schreck of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mary (Hollenbaugh) Vnasdale, one brother and one sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ganges Community United Church of Christ through the funeral home.
