Peter Tolsty, 76, of Wolf Run, Ohio, died Monday evening, Aug. 28, 2000, in Heritage Care Center in Mansfield after a long illness.
He was born in Neffs, Ohio, on November 9, 1924, son of the late Paul and Mary Mosgowski Tolsty. Peter had attended All Saints Orthodox Church at Wolf Run. He was a 33-year employee of Weirton Steel and retired in 1980. He was an Army veteran of WW II and was a life-member of Amsterdam V.F. W.
Surviving are one brother, Paul Tolsty of Mansfield; a nephew, Gary Tolsty of Mansfield; a niece, Sandy (Jerry) Schmelzer of Canton; and a great-niece, Jacqueline Schmelzer.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Amsterdam with Fr. Alexander Padlo officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery at Wolf Run where full military honors will be provided by the V.F. W., American Legion, and D.A. V. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7-9.
