Paul F. Hartge
Paul F. Hartge, age 85, formerly of 59 Roberts Drive, Shelby, died
Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the Masonic Home in Springfield, Ohio after an extended illness.
He was born July 8, 1919 in Crestline, Ohio the son of the late August F. and Margaret (Tahaney) Hartge. He was a 1959 graduate of the Columbus Barber School. He was a barber at Moore’s Barber Shop in Shelby and retired as a custodian from Shelby City Schools. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Shelby, Shelby Masonic Lodge #350 F&AM, where he was a former Past Master and Shelby Chapter RAM #178. He was an Army veteran of W.W.II serving in the 271st Infantry Regiment of the 69th Infantry Division.
Mr. Hartge is survived by his children, Duane (Mary) Hartge of Fairfax, VA, Paulette D. Hartge of Mansfield and Joyce E. Hartge of Rancho Cordova, CA; 1 granddaughter, Ellen Hartge; a brother, Lawrence Hartge of Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Waneda Dietz Hartge on March 2, 2003, and 3 brothers, John, Charles, and Donald Hartge.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby from 6-8 PM where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. Diana Seaman, officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Lavale, Maryland. Memorial expressions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
