Ozra Elizabeth (Fackler) McCammon Price
Ozra Elizabeth Price, 101, of 145 Mansfield Ave. died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at the Heritage Care Center after a short illness. Mrs. Price was born August 12, 1897 in Richland County, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Sophia (Laser) Fackler.
She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Shelby Metal Products Co. and Noah’s Arc both in Shelby. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby and Golden Agers Club. She married Ray F. McCammon on August 15, 1917 and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1929. On June 23, 1940 she married W. Clark “Pete” Price and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1975.
She is survived by a step-grandson, David Price of Silver City, New Mexico; 4 step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert McCammon on January 18, 1945; a daughter: Martha McCammon Coffey on September 3,1973; a step-son: Donald Price in 1984; 9 brothers: Boyd, Frank, Samuel, Oscar, Porter, Alfred, Morris, Henry, and Richard Fackler; and 4 sisters: Mary Bly, Hermie Ryland, ZelIa Noss, and Bertha Waldruff.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 25, 1999 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Floyd Whitesel and Rev. Jack Sersig officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
