Owen P. Bricker

Owen P. Bricker, age 85, formerly of 104 East Main Street Shelby, died Tuesday Afternoon at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard after an extended illness.

He was born February 16, 1903 in Shelby, the son of William and Sybilla (Scherer) Bricker.

Mr. Bricker is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Don (Joanne) Zeiters of Shelby; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Uhler Bricker in 1974, 1 son, Ned Bricker, and 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

Mr. Bricker was a foreman at the former Shelby Business Forms (now U-forma). He was a 60-year member of the Shelby Masonic Lodge #350 F. and AM, where he served as Past Master. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery with his pastor the Rev. Carl L. Johnson, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church or the Shriner’s Crippled Childrens’ Hospital.
