Ora Barnett (Minich) McGaw
Ora Barnett (Minich) McGaw, age 95, formerly of 41 Mickey Road in Shelby died Wednesday afternoon in the Crestwood Care Center. She was born Feb. 19, 1896 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of Orus and Orie (Barnett) Minich.
Mrs. McGaw was a telephone operator at the Shelby Telephone Company for many years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was very active in church circles and other church activities.
She is survived by 1 daughter-in-law, Emily Hetrick of Cleveland; 6 grandchildren: Mrs. Wayne (Barbara) Ingram and Paul Wilcox, Jr., both of Shelby; Howard Wilcox of Colorado; Mrs. Clement (Marsha) Hance, Jr., Neil Hetrick, and William Hetrick all of Cleveland; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur C. McGaw in 1981; by a daughter, Florence Wilcox, and a son William Hetrick.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakland Cemetery wilh her pastor the Rev. Lyle Hinkle, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
