Norma Jean (Wadley) Baith
Norma Jean Baith, age 74, of Boyce Road, Shelby, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at her home after an extended illness.
She was born May 12, 1931 at her home, a log cabin, at the corner of Bowman and Amoy Roads in Mansfield, the daughter of the late Ellis and Mary (Woodruff) Wadley. She was a 1949 graduate of Union High School and was a homemaker. For over 30 years, Norma was the president of Vita View Associates, Inc. in Mansfield and was listed in Who’s Who in American Business Women. She was an active member of First Church of God on Park Avenue West in Mansfield where she held various positions on boards and committees. Norma’s pride and joy was her children and grandchildren. She always had an open door and heart for family, friends and strangers, as well as, her extended Shaklee family.
Norma is survived by her husband, Benjamin R. Baith, whom she married on November 27, 1949; 5 children, Benjamin D. and Muriel Baith of Mansfield, Brenda and Bruce Adams of Akron, Sheila and Robin Riggs of Beaverton, Mich., Michael K. Baith of Mansfield, and Melinda Hamilton of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Roberta L. Baith of Shelby and a brother, Albert D. Wadley of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Wadley.
Friends may call on Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 2-5 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby and on Monday from 10 a.m.-11a.m. at the First Church of God, 1756 Park Avenue West in Mansfield where funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Larry Collins at 11a.m. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial expressions may be made to the church.
