Norbert Vincent Sutter

Norbert Vincent Sutter, 79, formerly of 3114 Ohio 61, Crestline, died Saturday afternoon in Crestline Nursing Home after a long illness.

Born Feb. 6, 1907, in Shelby Settlement to Henry and Anna (Cowl) Sutter, he was a retired upholsterer at National Seating Co. in Mansfield. Mr. Sutter was a member of Bethlehem Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Shelby Knights of Columbus #1968.

Surviving are four sisters: Sister Mary Rosalind, SND, of Toledo, Sister Mary Joan, SND, of California, Mrs. Harold (Florence) Hafer of Shelby, and Mrs. Cecilia Gardner of Strongsville, and two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Charles (Joan) Sutter of Crestline, with whom he had made his home, and Mrs. Paul (Ethel) Sutter of Strongsville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Metzger, and three brothers: Paul, Charles and the Rev. Edmund Sutter.

Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by the Rev. Gregory Bishop. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be tonight from 7 to 9 at Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church and left at the funeral home.
