Norbert R. Studer

Norbert R. Studer, age, 78, of 5692 Bowman Street Road, Shelby, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Med Central Mansfield Hosptial.

He was born October 26, 1924 in North Auburn, Ohio the son of the late Sylvester and Coletta (Pifher) Studer. Mr. Studer was a 1943 graduate of Tiro High School. He owned Tiro Feed and Supply from 1956-1959 and retired from Copperweld in 1980 after 33 years of service. He loved farming with his son. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby and the New Washington Knights of Columbus.

Norbert is survived by his wife: Eileen (Mathias) Studer, whom he wed on July 1, 1944; a son and his wife: David and Sally Studer of Shelby; 5 grandchildren and spouses: Todd and Pam Studer of Shiloh, Ann Vansky of Hilliard, Jim and Lisa Studer of Dublin, Melinda Heydinger of Pataskla, Jeff and Jenni Studer of Shelby; 9 great grandchildren: Ben, Reid, Brooke, and Kaylin Studer, Chad and Olivia Vansky, Samantha, Seth, and Spencer Heydinger; 6 brothers and spouses: Vincent and Irma Studer of Shelby, Clarence and Lucy Studer of Tiro, Jim and Pat Studer of Bellevue, Donald and Carol Studer of Galion, Robert and Dolores Studer of New Washington, Kenneth and Marilyn Studer of Tiro; 3 sisters and spouses: Dortha and John Metzger of Shelby, Bernadine Holmer of New Washington, Janette and Bob Holt of Galion; a sister-in-law: Mary Studer of Crestline. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Studer and a sister, Esther Warren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2003 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where a Christian Wake service will be held Sunday evening at 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 31, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Cunningham and Deacon Denny Burkett, officiating.
