Nellie F. (Fiene) Clapp
Nellie F. Clapp, age 93, formerly of 3554 Myers Road, Shelby, died Friday evening, June 2, 2000 at the Woodlawn Nursing Home in Mansfield after a short illness.
Mrs. Clapp was born February 19, 1907 in Troy, Pennsylvania the daughter of Richard and Tilda Fiene, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Easter Star,
where she was the former Grand Matron, and the Bridge Club, all in Cuba, New York.
She is survived by 6 grandchildren: Robert D. Clapp of Shelby, (with whom she had made her home), William D. Clapp of Shelby, Robin R. Baxter of Butler, OH, Cavin D. Clapp of Lumberton, NC, Jon W. Clapp of Hollywood, FL, and Angela M. Clapp of Batavia, NY; 2 daughters-in-law: Eleanor L. Lash of Mansfield, and Marjorie Clapp of Wilmington, NC; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dana J. Clapp in 1973, 2 sons: Robert W. Clapp and Edward D. Clapp, and 3 brothers: Gary, Harold, and Tony Fiene.
Calling hours will be on Monday, June 5, 2000, from 6-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Gene Witzky officiating. Calling hours will also be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2000, from 10-Noon at the Mclntosh Funeral Home, Cuba, NY. Graveside services will follow in Cuba Cemetery conducted by Rev. Poelma of the First Baptist Church in Cuba. Memorial expressions may be made to the Shelby Memorial Hospital Foundation in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
