Ned E. Wagner
Ned E. Wagner, 65, of 1711 Bowman Street Road Mansfield, died Monday afternoon at Mansfield General Hospital after a long illness.
He was born Aug. 22, 1923, in Ashland County, to Fred W. and Edith (Hauger) Wagner. Mr. Wagner was owner and operator of Ned Wagner Plumbing and Heating in Mansfield for 30 years. He retired in 1980. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mansfield and a former Democratic ward committeeman.
Surviving are his wife, Martha (Wilson) Wagner, whom he married on March 14, 1945; two sons: Thomas of Westerville and Scott of Mansfield; two daughters: Mrs. Kim (Judy) Shepherd of Hilliard and Mrs. Edward (Janet) Sandor, Jr. of Athens, GA; four grandchildren; a brother: Dr. Frederick Wagner of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Sponsler.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Calvin Winder, former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Mansfield. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
