Ned Alden Jacobs

Ned Alden Jacobs, age 57, of 190 West Main Street, died Friday afternoon in Mansfield General Hospital after an extended illness. He was born February 22, 1932 in Mansfield.

Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Pamela (Stough) Jacobs; 4 sons: Russell Jacobs at home; Bill Jacobs of Arlington, VA; Ned Jacobs, Jr. of Crestline; Timothy Jacobs of Sierra Vista, Arizona; 1 daughter, Joyce Smith of Crestline; 6 granddaughters; his father and stepmother, Thomas and Alice Jacobs of Mansfield; 2 brothers: Kenneth and Paul Jacobs both of Mansfield; 3 sisters: Mrs. Mearl (Patricia) Durbin and Carol Wise both of Lexington, and Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) Lawhorn of Mansfield.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace (Hickey) Jacobs and by 2 brothers.

Mr. Jacobs was a retired truck driver from teamsters local 40 in Mansfield.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Douglas, Associate Minister at Maranatha Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Mansfield General Hospice Program in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
