Myron E. Shaw

Myron E. Shaw, 79, of 239 W. Main St., died 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Born July 16, 1906, he was the son of Elmer and Lulu (Moore) Shaw.

He was a retired painter from the Autocall Division of the Federal Signal Corp. in Shelby. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Shelby Masonic Lodge No. 350 F and A.M. and Rizpah Chapter No. 153 Order of the Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Crider) Shaw, whom he married Sept. 5, 1964; one son: Fred Shaw of Shelby; one daughter: Melinda Place of Tennessee; one step-daughter:
Joanne Danals of Shelby; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marguarite Cline; and one brother, Damon Shaw.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Turner Funeral Home with his pastor, Rev. Carl
G. Beighley, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 this evening at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 tonight.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and can be left at
the funeral home.
