Miles L. Wilson

Miles L. Wilson, age 73, of Tiro, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.
He was born December 3, 1937 in Shelby, the son of the late Everett and Mabel (Sourwine) Wilson. He retired from the Ohio Seamless Tube Company in Shelby and farmed. Prior to that, he had been employed at AMF in Shelby. He was an active member of Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church in Tiro where he was a member of the church council. He was a Ham Radio operator and was a member of AARP. Miles enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and loved woodworking.
Miles is survived by his children: Lawrence Wilson (Julie Cockley) of Tiro; Danny Wilson of Florida; Diana Lyn Veres (Doug Feeney) of Defiance, OH; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother: Duane (Beverly) Wilson of Shelby; 2 sisters: Martha Vermillion of Mansfield and Donna Salvadore of Albany, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife: Louise Weezy Wilson in 2005 and by 3 brothers: Larry, Harvey and Leonard Wilson.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 6-8 PM and on Friday from noon to 1 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 1 PM by Rev. Ralph Kusserow. Burial will be in Dapper Cemetery in Crestline. Memorials may be made to the Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church. On-line condolences at penwellturner.com
