Mildred Marie (Nohlquist) Miller Brown

Mildred Marie Miller Brown, age 82, formerly of 25 Smiley Gardens, Shelby, died Saturday morning, July 19, 1997, in Med Central Shelby Hospital after a long illness.
She was born February 26, 1915 in Jamestown, New York the daughter of the late Evald L. and Sigrid M. (Peterson) Nohlquist.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and had been employed at Ohio Brass during World War II. She was a member of the Ganges Community Church, Ganges Ladies Aid, and had been a member of Shiloh Chapter Order Of Eastern Star.
She is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law: Edward and Sandy Miller of Shiloh; 2 grandchildren and their spouses: Mike and Lori Miller and Mitzi and Jim Knight; 2 great-grandchildren: Hannah Knight and Mikala Miller; 2 brothers: Donald Nohlquist of North Carolina and Lester Nohlquist of Jamestown, New York; 2 sisters: Elsie Laser of Shelby and Clarice Larson of Jamestown, New York.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Miller in 1945, her second husband, Encil Brown in 1981 and 3 sisters: Joyce Treharne, Doris Carlson, and Edith Nohlquist.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Joe Kunz officiating. Burial will be in Adams Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church or to Shelby Home and Public Health.
