Michael Wade Bailey

Michael Wade Bailey, 49, of 3430 Stein Road, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 24, 2002, at MedCentral Shelby Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.

He was born Oct. 21, 1952, in Willard, the son of Fred and Hazel (Watkins) Bailey, and they survive in Shelby. Also surviving are his wife Linda (Cummings) Bailey, whom he married on July 14, 1972, one son; Gerald Bailey of Shelby, a granddaughter, Presley Bailey; two brothers, Roger Bailey of Shelby and Gary Bailey of Mansfield, a sister, Sharon Tackett of Shelby; his father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Irene Cummings of Tiro. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ray Bailey in 1994.

Mike was a 1970 graduate of Shelby Senior High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School. He was employed as an electrician at Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield. Prior to that he had worked at Rubbermaid in Wooster and Tech Form Industries in Shelby. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 W. Main St., Shelby. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
