Michael Scott Sharrock
After a year-long battle with cancer, Michael Scott Sharrock, 41, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was at home with his family at his side.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kathleen and three children: Courtney, Matthew and Madison all of Shelby; his father: Scott (Karen) Sharrock of Lexington; his mother: Barbara (David) Shaw of Danville; Kathleen’s parents: Robert and Helen Eadie of Willard.
Michael enjoyed life! He loved his family so very much. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his three children. He was a huge car enthusiast. He loved racing, buying, selling and rebuilding cars ever since he was a young boy. Michael greatly enjoyed vacationing with friends and family the last few years. He loved his parents dearly. He was a 1988 graduate of Lexington High School and was the owner of Shelby Auto Sales. Michael was well liked and loved by all – he will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where a memorial service celebrating Michael’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11 AM conducted by close family friend, Pastor Rick Lewis. All friends and family are welcome to attend a luncheon to follow at Shelby Church of God, London West Road, Shelby.
