Michael Lynn Payne, age 54, of 2597 Myers Road, Shelby, died unexpectedly, Saturday, February 5, 2005 at his home.

Michael was born April 13, 1950 in Bell County, Kentucky. He was a graduate of Bel Air High School and Harford Community College both in Bel Air, Maryland. He was a electrician working out of Local #24 in Baltimore, Maryland. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and photography.

Michael is survived by his mother, Mattie M. (Howard) Payne of Shelby; 2 daughters, Natalie and Scott Ryan of Jarrettsville, Maryland and Andrea Payne of Timonium, Maryland; a granddaughter, Kylee Drew; a sister, Mossie Sue Payne of Shelby; his twin brother, Bruce and Wilma Payne of Manchester, Tennessee; 4 nieces and a nephew. Michael was preceded in death by his father, James H. Payne in 1996, by his brother, James H. Payne, Jr. in 2001 and twin sisters, Wanda and Joyce Payne.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Monty Perry and Rev. Aaron Howard officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the American Heart Association.
