Melba V. (Kraft) Clark
Melba V. Clark, 77, of 348 West Main Street Road, Shelby, died Sunday, November 30, 1997, in Med Central-Shelby Hospital after a short illness.
She was born December 6, 1919 in New Washington, Ohio the daughter of George and Helen (Powers) Kraft. Mrs. Clark was a 1937 graduate of New Washington High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shelby and T.O.P.S. Club #426. She enjoyed her grandchildren and quilting at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Clark, whom she married on June 29, 1940; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Daphne Clark of Shelby; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Karen and James Trout of Shelby; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Howard Kraft of Shelby, Lorin Kraft of New Washington, and Florin Kraft of London, Ohio; 4 sisters, Leona Pollock of Bucyrus, Shirley Stover of Tiffin, Donna Phillips of North Robinson, and Helen Cobb of Bucyrus. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George Kraft Jr. and Robert Kraft.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Shelby with Rev. Robert Becker officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorials to the church.
