Maynard W. “Boz” Livesay

Maynard W. “Boz” Livesay, age 64, of 3686 Mary Lou Lane, Ontario, died Friday evening, January 31, 1997 at his home after an extended illness. He was born September 16, 1932 in Mansfield, Ohio the son of Willis and Dorothy P. (May) Livesay.

Mr. Livesay was a truck driver for 37 years having worked 18 years at Spector Freight Inc. out of Bensonville, Illinois. He was a former member of the Mansfield Eagles and V.F.W. Ontario Post #7651. He was a member of Teamster Local #299 in Detroit, and was a 1951 graduate of Shelby High School.

Mr. Livesay was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Donna Livesay of Bellville, Ohio; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Martha Kay Livesay of Fairfield, California; and Ruth and Ron Von Stein of Tiro, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Virginia Lacey of Shelby, Joy Stevens of Mansfield, Carol Ann Roberts of Toledo, Linda Sue Spitler of Marblehead, and Dorothy Coffee of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia “CeCe” (Metzger) Livesay on December 17, 1996, a son Charles Edward Livesay and by a sister, Arlene Hench.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 A.M. with Father John C. Missler officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery where military services will be conducted.

Memorial expressions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
